What Care Lite actually covers

Backups — the right answer depends on your stack
For the DBM site, the backup story is simple: the site is fully static, built from a git repository and deployed to Cloudflare Pages. Git is the source of truth. Cloudflare keeps every deployment and can roll back to any of them in under a minute. There is no database, no uploaded content, no runtime data at risk. The stack IS the backup strategy.
That's one of the real advantages of building on this architecture — and it's worth naming plainly rather than selling a client backup tooling they don't need. For a WordPress site or a database-backed app, the answer is different: offsite automated exports, tested restores, frequency matched to how much data can be lost without consequence. Uptime monitoring — five minutes is the standard
The site is checked every five minutes. If it doesn't respond, an alert fires immediately — not after someone notices and emails us. Five minutes is the industry standard for this tier; sub-minute monitoring exists but is overkill for a marketing site that isn't processing live transactions.
The status badge in the footer of this site reflects the live state. Green means we've had a successful check recently. If something's wrong, we know before you do.
Monthly updates — the part most people skip
A static Next.js site doesn't have a WordPress plugin list to update, which removes the most common source of Care work. What remains: dependency updates when security patches land, reviewing Cloudflare's security and performance settings, and checking that the contact form is still delivering correctly end-to-end.
For clients on WordPress or CMS-backed sites, this is where the monthly fee earns its keep. CMS core updates, plugin updates, and theme updates all run monthly — with a full backup taken first, so a bad update can be reversed in minutes rather than hours.
Why it matters
