Build

We built FreightOps — a freight-operations SaaS.

FreightOps is a complete freight-operations platform we designed and built ourselves: a web dashboard for the office and an Android app for drivers, giving transport businesses live control of every load. It's the clearest proof of what Build means at the top end — real production software, not a brochure site.

Why it's the proof that matters

Plenty of studios can put up a website. Far fewer can design and ship production software a business would run its entire day on. FreightOps is ours — a full freight-operations platform, built from the ground up.

When we say the Build practice goes all the way to custom software and SaaS, this is what we mean: not a mock-up or a pitch deck, but a real, working system with a web dashboard, a mobile app, live tracking and a secure multi-tenant backend.

The problem it solves

Most small and mid-sized transport operators still run their fleets on WhatsApp groups, phone calls and end-of-day paperwork. Loads go dark between dispatch and delivery, fuel and toll costs are paid in cash and totalled days later, and the only record lives in scattered chats and memory.

FreightOps replaces that with one live system. Every trip event, cost, document and location is captured as it happens and tied to the load — so the office always knows where a load is, what's happened and what it has cost, without chasing anyone. Replace the group chat; keep the control.

What we actually built

Two surfaces, one system: a clean desktop dashboard for ops staff, and a deliberately dead-simple Android app for drivers — big tap targets, camera-only photos and silent GPS capture, so a driver is productive in minutes on the phone already in their pocket.

Under that sits serious software: live GPS tracking across local and cross-border lanes, 14+ trip-event types on an immutable timeline, automatic cost-per-load totalling, multi-currency support with monthly forex (ZAR, USD, MZN, BWP, ZMW, ZWL, NAD), proof-of-delivery capture, shareable client tracking links, fleet and client management, reporting, and a full audit trail of who changed what and when.

Built on a modern, secure stack

FreightOps runs on the same kind of architecture we'd recommend to you: a Supabase backend (a managed Postgres database with database-level security and private file storage), with the application served from Cloudflare's edge for speed across Southern Africa.

Each operator's data — and every photo and document — is fully isolated at the database level. No fragile server to babysit, security handled by infrastructure built for it, and fast performance for users on real-world mobile connections.

What this means for you

If your idea needs more than a website — accounts, dashboards, a mobile app, live data, payments, real business logic — FreightOps is evidence we can take it from a blank page to a working product and stand behind it.
